# Gamma — Record digitization

Turn your existing records and clinical documents into structured, coded, queryable clinical histories.

## What it is

Gamma turns existing clinical documents — paper records, PDFs, Word files, scanned notes and other formats — into structured, coded clinical records that are ready to query. Gamma digitizes and reads the documents, automatically extracts the relevant clinical entities (diagnoses, medications, studies and patient data), organises them by patient, date and document type, and links them to standardised codes such as ICD-11 along with correct drug names.

The result is a structured record in FHIR format, de-identified and auditable. That output can be integrated with Núcleo, connected to the system the institution already uses, or delivered as a structured dataset. Gamma runs independently and on local infrastructure, so patient information never leaves the institution, in line with NOM-024.

## Features

- **Document digitization and reading (OCR)** — Paper, PDF, Word and scanned notes.
- **Automatic extraction of clinical entities** — Diagnoses, medications, studies and patient data.
- **Automatic organisation** — By patient, date and document type.
- **Standardised coding** — ICD-10, ICD-11 and correct drug names.
- **FHIR-formatted output**
- **De-identification included**
- **Output ready to integrate with Núcleo, with the institution’s current system, or as a dataset.**
- **The complete record is held separately from the de-identified one.**
- **Quality control: every document gets a confidence level, and uncertain cases go to review.**
- **100% local processing, in line with NOM-024.**
- **Runs independently, with no need to install the other modules.**

## Compliance

- 100% local (on-premise) processing, in line with NOM-024-SSA3: patient information does not leave the institution.
- FHIR-formatted output with standardised coding (ICD-10 and ICD-11), ready to integrate with Núcleo, with the institution’s current system, or as a dataset.
- De-identification of sensitive data included, with the complete record held separately; personal data processed under Mexico’s federal data protection law (LFPDPPP).
- Per-document quality control: every record gets a confidence level, and uncertain cases go to review.

## Service models

Choose how you would rather digitize your clinical archive. Either way, Gamma delivers structured, coded and de-identified records.

### Managed digitization

_Managed service_

We digitize and structure your clinical archive and hand back records already organised and coded.

### On-site digitization

_On your premises_

We capture and process the documents inside your clinic, so the information never leaves your premises.

## Frequently asked questions

### Which document formats does Gamma accept?

Paper records, PDFs, Word documents, scanned notes and other clinical document formats. Gamma digitizes and reads them with OCR before extracting clinical entities.

### What does Gamma deliver?

A structured record in FHIR format, de-identified and auditable, with the extracted clinical entities (diagnoses, medications, studies and patient data) coded in ICD-10 and ICD-11, including correct drug names.

### Can I use Gamma without installing the other modules?

Yes. Gamma runs independently. Its output can be integrated with Núcleo, connected to the system the institution already uses, or delivered as a structured dataset.

### Does information leave the institution during processing?

No. Gamma runs on local infrastructure, so patient information never leaves the institution, in line with NOM-024.

### What happens if a document is illegible or ambiguous?

Every document gets a confidence level as part of quality control, and uncertain cases go to review rather than being committed automatically.

### Is the original record kept?

Yes. The complete record is held separately from the de-identified one, so the original source stays available.
